# Can I transfer my stock(s) to another / different brokerage account?

Yes, you can! Please follow the steps below:

To transfer stocks you own on Grifin to another brokerage provider, you will need to contact your new provider. **Please** **provide your new brokerage provider with the following details** of the account from which your stock will be coming from, as outlined below:

**For transfers from APEX to another brokerage:**  
DTC 0158  
Clearing Firm:Apex Clearing  
Client's name: \[YOUR NAME HERE\]  
Client's Apex account number: \[YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER HERE\]

**Important notes:**

- *Apex Clearing Corporation* charges a **$75 fee** on outgoing account transfers to a different brokerage account, which they will deduct from your portfolio.
- Fractional shares are not transferrable. Any fractional ***portion of a full share*** will be liquidated for cash market value, and then transferred as cash instead. 
    - **For example:** If you own 1.5 shares of a stock, 1 full share will be transferred, and the 0.5 shares will be turned into cash before being transferred.
