What's my referral code? How do I share Grifin with friends? Where should my friend enter my code? What does my friend have to do to meet the referral criteria?
We enjoy giving cash rewards to customers who refer their friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances to Grifin to help cheer them on in their investing journey. We enjoy it so much, that we have awarded over $100,000+ in cash to Grifin members since launching our referral program in June, 2023!
In summary, here's how it works:
1) You share your unique referral code with as many friends as you like,
2) They download Grifin, finish signing up, and they enter your code on the "Claim your referral code" screen inside their Grifin app, and
3) When they successfully deposit $5 or more to Grifin, you'll both get your cash rewards applied to your Grifin accounts within 3 business days!

Step 1:
Go to the Home tab and tap on the green rectangular button in the middle of your screen. This will reveal your unique referral code, which you can then tap on to copy to your clipboard -- or, tap "Share link" and a pre-filled message with your code will appear for you to share to your platform of choice (Text message, Email, Facebook Messenger, and more). Send your code to friends/family, post it on social media, share it with your work colleagues - whoever you think should know about Grifin!
Step 2:
You tell your friend to download Grifin, they finish signing up and arrive on the Home tab, and they open the left side menu and they click "Claim your referral code" button at the very top:
Step 3:
Your friend then links a bank account to Grifin and they successfully deposit $5 or more to Grifin, that's it! They can deposit or transfer their $5 to Grifin in ANY of the following 4 different ways:
- They can click the "Add money" button on their Home or Banks page (note: deposits typically take 1-3 business days to fully clear, depending on the speed of their bank), or
- They achieve $5 or more in weekly automatic stock purchases* (Note: Your friend's weekly automatic stock purchase can take between 5-10 business days to fully clear), or
- They achieve $5 or more in weekly "Add to Investable Cash" transfers (friends can toggle this feature to the on position in their Investment Settings, or
- During sign up, they invest $5 or more in stocks from their past transactions!
After your friend links a bank account and a credit card, they go about their normal spending / shopping that they already do, and Grifin automatically withdraws $1 to invest in each of the places they transact with once per week!** Your friend can check to make sure their weekly automatic stock purchases are working by turning the "weekly investment" button to the ON position, as this GIF shows: 
Step 4:
You will get a push notification sent to your Grifin app when your friend successfully completes Steps 2 & 3 in full above. This push will say that your cash reward has arrived in your Grifin account, and your friend will also get a push saying that their reward arrived to their account, too! These notifications will arrive within no later than 3 business days after Steps 2 & 3 are fully and successfully completed.
*NOTE #1: Your friend's weekly automatic stock purchase can take up to 5-10 business days to fully clear due to industry-known bank deposit settlement periods and stock purchase settlement periods. So, please sit tight, as there may be some time before you both receive your cash rewards!
**NOTE #2: Your friend does NOT have to do $5 in weekly automatic stock purchases all at once! As long as your friend eventually accrues $5 worth of successful weekly automatic stock purchases on Grifin, it will trigger the reward bonuses for you and them. For example, if your friend does $2 in weekly automatic stock purchases this week, and then $3 in weekly automatic stock purchases the next week, this adds up to $5 -- so you both will have the bonuses trigger for you once your friend reaches $5!
