How many banks & cards can I connect to grifin? How do I add more cards?

Connect an unlimited number of cards at up to 5 different banks/institutions to your Transaction Accounts (your credit/debit cards), and 1 institution to your Funding Source(your bank)! 😊

How to connect more banks & cards to Grifin:

Open
your Grifin app > Tap Banks in the bottom menu > Tap + Add Card or Bank Account under "Transaction Accounts." Here, you may connect an unlimited number of credit and debit cards at up to 5 banks/institutions that you use. Here's where to find it:

Here's an example of how many banks you can connect:

Let's say you have 5 financial institutions, broken down as follows:

  • A Bank of America checking account, savings account, debit card, and VISA credit card,
  • An American Express account with 3 credit cards,
  • A Chase high yield savings account and credit card
  • A Capital One cash rewards credit card
  • A CitiBank VISA credit card

In this scenario, for your Transaction Accounts, you may link your Bank of America debit card and credit card, all 3 of your AMEX credit cards, your Chase credit card, your Capital One cash rewards credit card, and your CitiBank VISA credit card in your Banks tab. So, in this example, you can link 8 cards in your Transaction Accounts tab!

As for your Funding Source, you may link one of your accounts to Grifin, and this will be the account that Grifin withdraws from each week to automatically buy you your stock! So, you can connect EITHER 1) your Bank of America checking account, 2) your Bank of America savings account, or 3) your Chase high yield savings account to the Funding Source section in your Banks tab.

Below is another example of a Grifin account with the maximum number of institutions connected. As you can see, with Chase added as the funding source, that means all of the cards and accounts associated with the Chase funding source may also be used for the Transaction accounts. Finally, 4 additional Transaction Accounts have been added, so this user also has their CitiBank, Robinhood, AMEX, and Wells Fargo under their Transaction Accounts :

If you'd like to add a different card or bank to your Transaction Accounts or Funding Source, but you have already met the maximum of 5 institutions linked to your Transaction Accounts or 1 institution linked to your Funding Source, you will need to delete one of the accounts you have connected to make room for the new one you'd like to add.

In the future, we'll be working to add more slots for even more institutions to be added for your convenience!
