Customers are eligible for full or partial refunds within 30 days of the day they first signed up for Grifin.
In order to receive a full or partial refund of your membership fee, you must meet the below criteria:
- Requirements needed to receive a FULL refund:
- (1) You did not connect any banks or credit cards to Plaid and must not have submitted a brokerage application, or
- (2) You encountered an issue that prevents you from completing sign-up that is entirely outside of your control and cannot be fixed by Grifin in a timely manner (examples below).
- Example #1: Plaid doesnβt support your bank and you have no other banks to be able to connect.
- Example #2: Our brokerage provider, Alpaca Securities, LLC, fully rejects your brokerage application.
- If you just need to upload verifying documents, our Customer Support Team will assist you in uploading those documents to get your account approved. A free trial will be issued to you for the number of days that it has been been since you signed up. Please email us at support@grifin.com if this happened to you.
- Only once you have uploaded verification documents and then Alpaca fully rejects your account, you will be eligible for a full refund.
- Example #3: If there is a bug/glitch you encounter that is verified to be an issue with Grifin and weβre not able to fix the bug in a reasonable amount of time, you will be eligible for a full refund.
- Requirements needed to receive a PARTIAL refund:
- You paid for a Yearly Subscription. If you are not eligible for the "full refund" based on the requirements listed in the above section, we can issue you a partial refund of $31 of our $36 annual fee. Essentially, you'll only pay for 1 month of Grifin vs. the full year, and $31 will be credited back to your credit card on file.
- NOTE: Monthly Subscriptions are NOT eligible for a partial refund. However, if your partial annual refund is approved, you will be switched over to the monthly plan as a one-time courtesy, and you'll be refunded the difference to your credit card on file, and your subscription will be cancelled.
- You only had one "Failed ACH Transfer" in your first month after signing up via our Yearly Subscription. If so, you are entitled to a partial $16 refund, which is calculated as follows:
- You paid the $36 Grifin Annual Subscription fee, MINUS our standard plan's $5 first month's Monthly fee (since you used Grifin for one month), MINUS the $15 ACH Return Fee (this fee is charged to us by our brokerage provider) EQUALS the $16 refundable amount.
