Learn how to block companies that you don't think are a good investment or don't align with your personal values.
Just because you spend your money at a company, it doesn't necessarily mean you want to own their stock, right? We agree. You can block any company that you donβt want to invest in, no matter how many times you spend there or if you spend at any of the subsidiaries they own.
Many of our 750,000+ members nationwide block companies that they donβt personally align with but have to spend with, such as utility companies or certain gas stations or airlines.
How to block a stock on Grifin:
-
Open your Grifin app and click the Search bar at the top
-
Type the name of the company you donβt want to invest in
-
Click on the companyβs logo to go to their Company Profile page.
-
Click the 3 dots in the top right corner
-
Click "Block" and the company will be blocked (unless you decide to Unblock it, which you can do from this same area, too).
By doing this, youβll no longer invest in this company. However, if you've already shopped there, we can't stop an investment in progress. You can always sell their stock once you own it.
