Why did I receive an email saying Grifin is transferring my account?

This transfer is occurring behind the scenes, so there’s nothing that you need to do besides sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the benefits that come with the change.

You may have received an email on Wednesday, June 21 stating that we’re moving your account from one brokerage provider, DriveWealth, to another, Alpaca. This transfer is occurring behind the scenes, so there’s nothing that you need to do besides sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the benefits that come with the change.

 

What does this mean for you?

We’re making this transition in order to provide you with a better experience and more product offerings in the future. Some of the immediate benefits you’ll see after the transfer include:

  • Instant stock buys/sells during trading hours
  • Faster money transfers in/out of Grifin
  • Much, much more

When will the transfer happen?

The transition will start on Friday, July 21 and will take place over that weekend. When you open Grifin on Monday, July 24, your account will have been transferred over.
