Why was my withdrawal cancelled or keeps cancelling? How do I fix it?

There are 2 main reasons why a withdrawal you initiated gets cancelled:

You're trying to withdraw to a different bank account than the one you initially linked to Grifin:
1. Do you have a different bank linked to Grifin now vs. when you first joined the app? If so, you will not be able to make a withdrawal to this different bank account for or up to 60 days after a deposit from the new bank has been made. Why? This is a security measure that protects you against fraud.
  1. How to fix this:
    1. Delete the current bank you have connected to Grifin, and connect the original bank account you used when you first signed up. Then, once your original bank account is successfully connected, initiate your withdrawal again. Your withdrawal should successfully process.
    2. Not able to link your original bank account? If your original bank account was either closed or you are no longer able to access it for some reason, please email our Customer Support team directly at support@grifin.com via the email address associated with your Grifin account. NOTE: You may be required to verify additional information due to federal KYC laws ("Know Your Customer"), which help protect against fraud and impersonation.
Your Brokerage Account was limited or had a strike put against it:
1. Our brokerage provider, Alpaca Securities LLC, may have put a limitation or strike on your account due to many potential reasons, such as a failed transfer, suspicious activity on your account, or an issue with your account verification. You may be seeing a screen that says "Your Brokerage Account has been limited" and it is preventing you from doing anything in your Grifin app.
  1. How to fix this:
    1. Email our Customer Support team at support@grifin.com with a screenshot of how it says your Brokerage Account was limited, and mention you'd like the limitation to be lifted. We will then work directly with Alpaca to get this lifted for you ASAP!
