# How can I be removed / unsubscribed from your email alerts?

The fastest way to unsubscribe from our marketing emails is to open any of the recent emails you received from us \> Scroll down to the very bottom footer \> Click the “Unsubscribe" button, and you'll be unsubscribed.

This will automatically ensure you no longer receive marketing emails from us.

Because we are a federally-regulated RIA (registered investment adviser) with the SEC (the Securities and Exchange Commission), **we are required by US federal law to send you important documents and notices related to your account,** such as your annual [Tax Documents](https://help.grifin.com/knowledge/when-will-i-get-my-tax-documents?hsLang=en) if you had taxable activity from your stocks on Grifin.

NOTE: Our Customer Support Team cannot manually unsubscribe you from our mailing list, as you must willingly opt-out of them yourself. Please do so by following the instructions we outlined above!
